At Zound Industries we design, develop, manufacture, and sell lifestyle electronics for the global market. Our company was founded in 2008 and we launched our first products in December 2009.We consider Zound as a brand incubator of the highest standard. Our own brands Urbanears, Molami, Coloud, as well as licensed brand Marshall, currently reside in this incubator; each with a distinct personality intended to serve a specific target audience.
Zound delivered a profitable growth of 10 932 % in its first three years, winning us the Swedish Supergasellen Prize as the quickest growing company ever. Today we continue to grow, with about 120 employees in Sweden, USA, and China; in addition to an ever-expanding network of trendsetters and contacts within music, fashion, and film.
What we´re looking for
Zound is looking for a Key Account Manager for the Nordic-region to strengthen our sales team. Your main focus will be to handle the Key Accounts that are appointed, based on region or distributor category. The KAM will be responsible for relevant key accounts together with the Regional Sales Manager, including the responsibility to ensure that Zound Industries’ brands are exposed according to their brand strategies.
About the position
Zound Industries expects the KAM to know everything about his/her markets, the customers and the sales in both amount and volume for each market. Your main task is to maximize sales by being an active contact person and partner to our existing distributors and retailers and support, push and inspire them in reaching their sales targets. Another task is to establish connections with new distributors and retailers through various trade shows as CES and IFA and evaluate current partners for future partnership together with the Regional Sales Manager. As your key markets span the Nordic-region, some travelling in the position is included every once in a while.
For non-managed accounts, you´d be the one to ensure that distributor staff focus on Zound Industries´ products and have the right tools for doing this. You´re the one that makes sure that all the key consumer benefits are communicated effectively in media, brochures, point of sale and to shop floor staff as well as ensuring effective merchandising and display of products. All sales are to be followed up through retrieving and evaluating reports from all partners on a weekly basis and The KAM is at all times expected to strive for Zound Industries’ as a whole to reach its monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets.
We see that you have previous experience of being a Key Account, preferably from Consumer Electronics and also have good knowledge of retail and manufacturing. You know what it takes to build and maintain long-term business relationships with retail and channel partners, managing large, Nordic or international accounts. You have strong numeric and planning skills plus ability to develop, implement and manage complete account business and promotional plans. You have a great understanding of legal and cultural knowledge from the area of responsibility or region and are good at analyzing the cultural and economical environment. You have good communication skills at all levels, an overall proactive approach and good commercial awareness.
As a person, you are a self-motivated starter who is able to work independently. You have a strong passion for business, an entrepreneurial mindset and find it easy to navigate in a chaotic environment. You are creative and solution-oriented and work methodically to reach out set targets and also know how to engage and inspire others.
The “Must Haves” for the role of Key Account Manager, are as follows:
- Sales management and entrepreneurial skills with a collaborative approach being able to have impact and influence without authority;
- In depth experience in Consumer Electronics and/or Telecom segments with established network and industry influence;
- Proven track record of building strong and strategic business relationships with retail and distributor partners;
- Outgoing personality with passion for business, passion for winning, people interactions and product technology;
- Very good communicative skills in English.
